Jaworski submits Lovato Jr. at ONE and, a week later, becomes ADCC champion at home
A leg lock specialist, the Pole won the -88 kg division in Kraków and became the first ADCC champion from his country.
September belonged to Pawel Jaworski. On the 4th, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, the Pole made his ONE Championship debut and submitted Rafael Lovato Jr. in 1min51 with a lateral kneebar in a middleweight grappling match. The win earned him a US$50,000 bonus.
It was a meeting of world champions: Lovato Jr. has four jiu-jitsu world titles, and Jaworski is an IBJJF no-gi world champion.
Gold in front of the home crowd
A week later, Jaworski competed at ADCC 2026 on home soil, at Tauron Arena in Kraków. On his way to the -88 kg final, he submitted Felipe Costa and Gabriel Brod with heel hooks. In the final, he beat Sweden's Marlon Tajik by one penalty in a tight, tactical match.
With the title, Jaworski became the first Polish ADCC champion.
