Who is responsible

Sinistro News (jiujitsusinistro.com.br) is the news portal of Jiu-Jitsu Sinistro, run by Washington Fonseca. For any matter regarding privacy and personal data, write to [email protected].

What we collect

You can read the site without creating an account and without providing any personal data.

• Visit statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to know how many people visit the site, which pages are read the most, where visits come from (for example, Instagram or Google), the country and the type of device. This tool does not use cookies and does not identify who you are.
• Hosting: the site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any hosting service, it receives technical data from each visit, such as the IP address and the type of browser, to deliver the pages and protect the site against attacks.
• Fonts: the typefaces used on the site are loaded from Google Fonts. To display them, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address.
• Photos: some photos in our articles come from Unsplash, a free image bank. To display them, your browser connects to Unsplash's servers, which receive your IP address.
• Search: the site's search runs in your own browser. We do not store what you search for.
• Messages: if you write to our email or to our Instagram, we use your contact details only to reply. Messages sent to [email protected] are forwarded by Cloudflare to the inbox of the person responsible for the site.

Cookies

Sinistro News does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may use technical, temporary cookies to protect the site against bots and attacks.

Instagram posts

Some articles show Instagram posts from athletes, teams or events. The post only loads when you tap "View the post here". From then on, Instagram (Meta) may use cookies and receive data about your visit, under its own privacy policy. If you prefer, use the "Open on Instagram" link.

Ads and links to other sites

At the moment, the ads on the site are the brand's own, such as Protocolo Sinistro and the BJJ Ofertas Sinistras group, and they do not use cookies.

Links to Instagram, WhatsApp, purchase pages, stores and sites used as sources lead to services run by other companies, which follow their own privacy policies. Some links may be affiliate links or go through link shorteners. In these cases, the store or the shortener may record the click and use cookies to know that the visit came from our site.

Google ads

The site may start showing Google AdSense ads. When that happens:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, will use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this site and to other sites.
• The use of advertising cookies allows Google and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and to other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings.

How long we keep data

Visit statistics are aggregated and stored at Cloudflare for the period Cloudflare sets. Contact messages are kept for as long as they are needed to reply and resolve the matter.

Your rights

Under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (General Data Protection Law, Law No. 13.709/2018), you can ask whether we have any of your data and request access to it, its correction or its deletion, among other rights. Just write to [email protected]. You can also file a complaint with the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (National Data Protection Authority, ANPD).

Changes to this policy

This policy may change when the site changes, for example when new types of ads are added. The date of the last update is at the top of this page.
